Lancaster County Convention Center Authority

On September 15, 1999, the Lancaster County Convention Center Authority was established under the Municipal Authority Act of 1945 and the Third-Class County Convention Center Authority Act. The Convention Center Authority was, and continues to be, run by a seven-member volunteer board appointed by city and county officials. The purpose of a convention center should be the promotion, attraction, stimulation, development and expansion of business, industry, commerce, and tourism in the county seat, the surrounding counties and the Commonwealth as a whole.
