Mates4Mates was established by RSL (Queensland Branch) in 2013 to provide support to current and ex-serving Defence Force personnel (and their families) who are wounded, injured or ill as a result of their service.
The support services provided by Mates4Mates fall into five key service streams: Psychological Services; Physical Rehabilitation & Wellbeing Services; Rehabilitation Adventure Challenges; Employment & Education Support Services; Social Connection Activities.
Mates4Mates has three Family Recovery Centres, in Brisbane, Hobart and Townsville, at which these services are provided face-to-face. We also provide some services via our outreach model for those that find distance travel difficult. Our Equine Therapy program is available to Mates and family members across Australia, as are our Rehabilitation Adventure Challenges.
