Matrix was formally organized in January 1974 in Bloomington, Indiana under the name Matrix Lifeline. Matrix is a private, independent organization funded by donations from churches, individuals, and community organizations. In July 1978 Matrix was organized under the name Matrix Lifeline of Greater Lafayette and opened a headquarters in downtown Lafayette, Indiana. The organization activated its first telephone line in December 1978. In September 1985, the office was moved to a facility donated by St. Lawrence Parish at 1824 Maple Street, after a temporary interim at 1100 N. Ninth Street. Matrix is presently located in the Cascada Business Park at 935 Mezzanine Drive Suite A, Lafayette, IN 47905.
Mission Statement: Matrix Pregnancy Resource Center values life. We exist as a Christ-centered organization, offering alternatives for women and men considering abortion, by providing education and support before, during, and after pregnancy.
