For Chicago youth who desire and deserve more, MetroSquash combines academic support, competitive squash, and enrichment to empower students to realize their potential and make their mark.
MetroSquash works with students from 5th grade through college graduation. Students dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to the program. Their time is equally divided between academics and the sport of squash. Our model of long-term support works. MetroSquash is proud to report on the following outcomes from the 2016-2017 academic year:
Middle School Academics
• Middle school reading levels increased by 17%
• Middle school math score increased by 64%
• 95% of middle school students enrolled in their best fit high school
High School Academics
• 3.0 average GPA
• MetroSquash students scored 123 points above their CPS counterparts in SAT scores
• 100% high school graduation rate
• 100% college enrollment rate
College
• 88% college persistence rate
• 51% internship enrollment rate
• 82% have a 2.0 GPA or higher
