Mid-State Literacy Council works with low-literacy adults in Centre and Clearfield Counties. Since losing state funding in 2010 because of budget cuts, we have continued to offer private tutoring and classes to over 300 adult learners per year with the help of 275 trained volunteers and a very small staff. If you are interested in helping an adult learn how to read, improve his/her math skills, or learn the English language, please contact us today.
