Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai is the first overseas branch of Moorfields Eye Hospital, which was founded in 1804 and opened in 1805 in London. It is the largest eye care facility in Europe and has been treating eye diseases for over 200 years. We are the oldest and one of the largest centers for ophthalmic treatment, teaching and research in the world.
We have 8 Ophthalmologists, 7 of which are Consultant Ophthalmologists, most have completed their fellowships in Moorfields London, and are now permanent residents of the UAE . We also have an orthoptist, 4 optometrists, and a fully trained nursing staff as well as multilingual administration staff. Our team has more than doubled over the last 5 years.
We cover most major aspects of eye care from basic screenings, eye examinations, eye surgeries such as laser refractive, corneal, oculoplastic, strabismus, paediatric and glaucoma to complex vetreoretinal surgeries. We also have access to 100+ doctors in Moorfields London if the need ever arises.
