In 1980 werd in Gaanderen een nieuw kinderkoor opgericht, de G-Sleuteltjes. Inmiddels is dit uitgegroeid tot Musical Producties Gaanderen, een vereniging bestaande uit 4 groepen en zo’n 125 leden uit de regio en ver daarbuiten. Leden zijn zelfs woonachtig in Winterswijk, Wijchen en Amersfoort. MPG voert jaarlijks 2 producties uit in Schouwburg Amphion in Doetinchem, met in totaal zo'n 4000 bezoekers. Daarnaast vinden er jaarlijks grote en kleine optredens en concerten plaats in de hele regio. Alles, inclusief orkest, kleding en decor, is in eigen beheer en de vereniging draait vrijwel volledig op vrijwilligers.
