MX Systems heeft ruime ervaring op het gebied van grootschalige ICT-projecten in de watersector. De disciplines waarin MX Systems excelleert bestaan uit consultancy, het specificeren, bouwen, implementeren, testen en het beheren en onderhouden van ICT-systemen.
In de Rotterdamse haven beheert MX Systems het Operationele Stromingsmodel Rotterdam (OSR). OSR voorspelt de stroomsnelheden, waterstanden en zoutgehalte in de Rotterdamse haven, zodat het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam exact kan zien welke schepen met welke diepgang de Rotterdamse haven in of uit kunnen varen. MX Systems zorgt ook voor aanpassingen van het OSR. Zo is onlangs een Dynamische TijPoort viewer (DTP) ontwikkeld.
In opdracht van de Gemeenschappelijke Nautische Autoriteit Scheldegebied werkt MX Systems samen met het moederbedrijf ARS T&TT aan de vervanging van het Informatie Verwerkend Systeem (IVS), zodat alle verkeersposten langs de Schelde in Nederland en België vanaf 2016 optimaal kunnen communiceren met de vele schepen die dagelijks over
