Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation was established in 1977 as a means through which grateful patients and loved ones could "give back" to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). The Foundation began actively fundraising in 1991 in response to the rising cost of delivering quality healthcare on Central Vancouver Island. Since then, we have raised over $42 million for NRGH and affiliated healthcare facilities. Also see history and facts.
