New Hampshire Children's Trust

New Hampshire Children’s Trust is the NH statewide child abuse and neglect prevention agency, designated by the governor to leverage federal Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) dollars. We envision a state where all NH children thrive in safe, stable and nurturing families and communities. Our mission is to lead NH's drive to eliminate child abuse and neglect NHCT creates the statewide child abuse prevention plan and secures resources to implement that plan. The plan follows the socio-ecological public health model by having strategies in each domain- Individual, relational, organizational/community and societal in order to have the greatest impact. Specific strategies include public awareness and public policy; participation in task forces, networks and coalitions that focus on specific issues such as shaken baby syndrome; training, technical assistance and evaluation services for direct family service providers; parent engagement, advocacy, leadership and partnership activities.
