Omrix Biopharmaceuticals specializes in development and manufacture of life-saving products derived from human plasma. Built on innovation and years of research, our products are are based on a unique patented technology and sold throughout the world. Omrix develops two lines of products:
- Biosurgicals: a line of hemostatic products designed to control bleeding during surgery
- Passive Immunotherapy Products: a line of products intended for patients with immune deficiencies
Omrix was founded in 1995 by Mr. Robert Taub, with an initial public offering issued on the U.S. Stock Exchange in 2006 under the name OMRI. Two years later, Omrix was acquired by American pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson, one of the world’s largest health care companies employing roughly 118,000 people around the world. Today Omrix reports through the Medical Device & Diagnostics unit at Johnson & Johnson
