Performance Monitoring For Action

“Performance Monitoring and Accountability 2020” (PMA2020) is a five-year project that contributes to a global monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system for family planning and provides rich information useful for reporting, planning, operational decisions and advocacy at the community, country and global levels. In this effort PMA2020 has developed and fielded a mobile-Assisted Data and Dissemination System (mADDS) survey using mobile devices to measure core and country-specific indicators. This rapid data collection system, mADDS, uses mobile devices and technology to automatically and periodically update data for family planning and select water and sanitation M&E indicators. mADDS will use a sentinel area design to monitor family planning performance at various levels of aggregation, longitudinally over time, and in relatively real-time.
