Persona is a brand new Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) which has spun out of Bury Council in order to secure a sustainable future for the local provision of Adult Social Care.
Demand for social care is rising due to demographic and lifestyle pressures, while the need for financial austerity and budgetary caution continues to build. There is an increasing need for a wider range of services accessible to a wider range of people. Persona has been formed in order to meet those needs, and to achieve benefits for staff, the Council and the Bury community.
A newly-independent LATCo will help unlock the potential of the individual staff members and the team as a whole, to create a more dynamic culture where staff take the initiative in responding to and anticipating the support needs of clients.
