Photo Sciences is a leading supplier of photomasks for Bioscience and Biomedical devices. Typical applications are microfluidics for DNA, protein and cell recognition.
Photomasks for microfluidic devices are very difficult to manufacture, primary as a result of the massive amount of CAD data that is generated when designing 3-5um openings that may be spaced at 2-5um. We have successfully manufactured masks with more than 400 million openings over an imaged area of ~ 5"x5". This equates to more than 2 billion trapezoids/rectangles over 5"x5".
