Project Pressure is a not-for-profit organisation documenting the world’s vanishing glaciers in order to highlight the impact of climate change, inspiring action and participation. The project will result in the world’s first comprehensive crowdsourced glacier atlas, a touring photographic exhibition, a documentary film and an open source digital platform.
Working with the scientific community, Project Pressure has pioneered innovative new technological developments and forged partnerships with prestigious organisations including the World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). In 2011, Project Pressure was recognized as an official contributor to the Global Terrestrial Network for Glaciers (GTN-G).
Since 2008, Project Pressure has been capturing geo-tagged photographs at glaciers around the world and has to date documented glaciers in 13 countries: Argentina, Chile, Ecuado
