Queen’s Commerce Trading Committee (QCTC) strives to educate students about the sales and trading industry, while fostering a fundamental interest in the field of investing. Our team of dedicated, passionate students are determined to make this year a success. Through the hosting of unique educational events, a well-managed competition, and weekly market updates, we aim to provide the skills and knowledge needed to enter the field of finance and gain a better understanding of how to personally get involved in the equities and derivatives markets. We offer the opportunity to learn these skills well before employers expect these skills to surface within potential candidates. This will differentiate Queen’s University students from other applicants, all-across Canada. QCTC’s primary focus, the annual Queen’s Commerce Trading Competition, is structured around maximizing portfolio returns, via equities and options, and rewarding the top earners at our committee’s year-end banquet.
