At Reap Benefit, we strive to tackle and solve local environmental and civic problems concerning waste, water, energy, and sanitation, through low cost solutions, which are user friendly and require low maintenance.
Our engagements are focused primarily with young school students, as we believe that armed with the right skill set, today's youth will be tomorrow's problem solvers.
Over the past four years, we have engaged more than 15,000 students, and together have diverted 270 tonnes of waste from landfills, saved 19 million litres of water, and saved 1450 kilo units of electricity. We have also developed half a dozen low-cost innovations including an organic compost accelerator, a water-less urinal, and a low-cost weather station.
Reap Benefit was one of the top-5 start-ups at Stand-up Start-up India 2016, and co-founder Kuldeep was an Unreasonable Institute Fellow (2015), Ashoka Fellow (2013) and a MIT GSW Programme Fellow (2013). We have also been listed under Forbes 30 under 30 (2014).
