Red Theater believes direct human connection is essential to ask the dangerous questions needed for our future.
Founded in 2008 by Aaron Sawyer and Theron Seckington, Red Theater has grown from its Lincoln roots, adding collectives in Omaha, NE and Chicago, IL
We are inspired by American traditions like vaudeville, slam poetry, cinematic realism, and music videos. We want to take advantage of those things that can only be done in live performance.
Our work is constantly reinventing itself, taking advantage of each collective’s
strengths and abilities in order to best convey the truth of the moment.
Our mission is to spread a theatrical theater that empowers its audience.
