RES4MED (Renewable Energy Solutions for the Mediterranean) was created in 2012 in order to contribute to the promotion of renewable energy sources deployment, to broaden the range of proposed energy solutions, and to analyze the conditions for an integrated electricity market in the Mediterranean (MED). RES4MED’s added value lies in its role as a “network of networks”, in order to facilitate dialogue between the various existing institutional and industrial initiatives.
Rather than just “another” initiative, RES4MED introduces a new paradigm in the Mediterranean geo-energetic scenario: RES4MED is structured to facilitate dialogue between existing initiatives, expanding their prevalent focus on large-scale power plants and North-South grid infrastructures.
