Ronald McDonald House® North Queensland is an independent, non-profit organisation that helps seriously ill children and their families who are from country areas of North and North West Queensland when they need it most. We were founded in memory of McDonald's creator, Ray Kroc, who believed in charitable works as a way of putting something back into the community.
The House is situated on the Townsville Hospital Campus in close walking distance to the Pediatric Ward and Neonatal Intensive Care Ward.
We provide 24 rooms where families can stay, with fully equipped kitchens, communal dinner and living areas, laundry facilities, BBQ area, outdoor play area, playroom and games room all with disability access.
Since we opened our doors in 2004, Ronald McDonald House® North Queensland has helped over 2700 families from across the region.
Our families have come from as far north as Cape York and into Papua New Guinea, west to Mount Isa, south to Mackay and everywhere in
