From our first meeting on March 2, 1914, to our charter celebration on May 3, 1914 at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel the Rotary Club of Calgary has built an incredible dynamic club providing service to its local and international community.
Local initiatives range from our Stay In School Program, Feed The Hungry Calgary, our Employment Partnership Program, Music Scholarship Program, Services for Seniors. We support many other local organizations and community initiatives including the Rotary/Mattamy Greenway, a 138-km network of parks and pathways that will encircle the city connecting 55 communities and will include off-leash dog parks, family fitness parks, educational wetland interpretive areas, and unique play structures. In 2016, the club will celebrate the 59th Year of the Rotary Barbecues: The Stampede Roundup (July 13) and Oxford Stomp (July 15) offer world-class entertainment to Calgarians, which is a key fundraiser for the club.
