Samara Networks Inc., which is owned and controlled by Aboriginal people, enables a vision of technology which is driven to supporting the full integration of technologies and development of information, communications and technology (ICT) business opportunities that provide economic benefits and ultimately improve the quality of life for all First Nation communities in British Columbia and across Canada.
Our primary focus and mission is to support the mandate of the BC First Nation Technology Council in the execution and implementation of their Technology Plan to ensure that all 203 BC First Nations:
- Are connected with high speed broadband Internet
- Develop an Integrated Information Management Strategy
- Establish a Common Services Organization to support the development of technologies and applications in First - Nations communities
- Develop the Fully Integrated Technologies (FIT) Community Model
