Seesac

Established under the Stability Pact, and in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, the South Eastern and Eastern Europe Clearinghouse for the Control of the Small Arms and Light Weapons (SEESAC) is the executive arm of the Regional Implementation Plan on Combating the Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW). With over 10 years of experience in the practical implementation of SALW control measures, SEESAC has successfully supported national and international stakeholders to reduce the threat posed by the widespread availability of SALW. Adopting a holistic approach to arms control SEESAC’s interventions encompass the full spectrum of activities: from awareness raising and SALW collection campaigns, to stockpile management, surplus reduction and improved marking and tracing capabilities.
