For more than 30 years, the SME Education Foundation has been the leading non-profit dedicated to the advancement of manufacturing education. Since our beginning in 1980, we have pioneered initiatives and invested over $33 million in programs, scholarships, and awards to ensure the quality and quantity of manufacturing's future workforce.
The SME Education Foundation (SME-EF) is a 501(c)(3) and a (509)(a)(1) public charity with a current endowment of $18 million. SME-EF is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SME and is governed by its own independent Board of Directors which includes senior executives from industry and academia.
