Smee + Busby Architects was established with two people in 2004. Today, partners Gregor R. Smee, AIA and J. Scott Busby, AIA lead a staff of talented people coming from a variety of design and technical backgrounds.
In the course of their careers, individuals in our office have worked on many different project types. Our capabilities range from Renderings for fund raising, Programming, Site/Building Master Planning, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Negotiation, and Construction Contract Administration and Close-Out, and more. We continue to tackle a wide variety of projects everyday, customizing ourselves for each new opportunity.
Architecture, Design and Construction
Architects design buildings and the spaces around buildings. They work for individuals, companies and governments, from small scale projects like private houses to large scale projects like office complexes and shopping centers. Architects do not only design the building itself, but also the landscape around it, from how the building will be positioned on the plot and how it will interact with its surroundings. Architects also need to consider the purpose of the building, the materials used for its construction and the impact the building will have on its environment.
