Songs at the Center is a national television series distributed by American Public Television, featuring accomplished singer-songwriters performing “in the round.” The show also blends one-on-one interviews with spontaneous on-stage interaction among the artists, host and audience. The host station, WOSU TV, Columbus, airs the series at 11 p.m. Saturdays as the lead in to "Austin City Limits." Check local listings for national schedules.
The series is the creation of host, Eric Gnezda, who is an award-winning songwriter, keynote speaker, Emmy-nominated television journalist, and educator. Eric and his work have been featured on Entertainment Tonight, ESPN, Nickelodeon, The Canadian Broadcasting Company, the ABC Radio Network, and in Sports Illustrated, among other media. A recipient of the Ohio Citation for Music Composition, he is also a regular Writers Night performer at Nashville’s legendary venue for songwriters, The Bluebird Café.
