SHA was founded in 1996 by Brad Stengel and Charles (Chip) Hill. With more than 40 years of combined experience in the design of Healthcare, Commercial and Educational Facilities, Brad and Chip provide the leadership to grow the business through their expertise and commitment to their Clients; all of which provides an exceptional work environment for their 38 member Professional Architectural Staff. SHA's base of operations is a six-story office building located on historic West Main Street in Louisville, KY. In 2012 we opened our office in Lexington, KY to better serve our clients in that region of the state.
Architecture, Design and Construction

They work for individuals, companies and governments, from small scale projects like private houses to large scale projects like office complexes and shopping centers. Architects do not only design the building itself, but also the landscape around it, from how the building will be positioned on the plot and how it will interact with its surroundings. Architects also need to consider the purpose of the building, the materials used for its construction and the impact the building will have on its environment.
