TaleWorlds Entertainment is an independent video game development company located in Ankara, Turkey. Founded in 2005 by Armağan Yavuz after starting work in game development as a hobby. Known for its leading "Mount&Blade" game franchise, TaleWorlds is one of the most successful indie developers worldwide. Around 98% of the company's sales are from outside of Turkey, demonstrating the global success of the "Mount&Blade" series. 2008 saw the final release of "Mount&Blade", the first game in the series, with "Mount&Blade: Warband" going to market in 2010. Development for additional content has also been outsourced on two occasions; once to "Sich Studios" for the development of "Mount&Blade: With Fire & Sword" (released in 2011) and also to "Flying Squirrel Entertainment" for the development of the "Napoleonic Wars" DLC (released in 2012) for Warband.
The company now stands at around 50 employees and is developing "Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord". Release Date TBA
