Teatral is een creatieve onderneming. De vrouw erachter ben ik, Bertina Slettenhaar. Textiel(kunst) is mijn passie.
Zolang als ik mij kan herinneren ben ik al in de weer met lapjes, draadjes en vezels. Een kunstopleiding textiel kon dan ook niet uitblijven en die heb ik in Amsterdam in 1988 afgerond.
Vanaf mijn 4e levensjaar altijd zelf in de weer met lapjes, draadjes, kleur en textuur.
Mijn onontkoombare passie kreeg met het vilten een ongekend scala nieuwe mogelijkheden:
Vilt verbindt, heelt en verwondert…
Ornamentiek in de natuur in haar grootsheid en detail en die door mensenhanden in culturen vormgegeven
zijn voor mij een onuitputtelijke bron van inspiratie.
