Formed in 1961, the Texas Academy of General Dentistry (TAGD) operates as the state constituent under the branch of the National Academy of General Dentistry. Currently serving over 2,700 dentists, we are the largest state constituent in the nation and oversee 15 local component areas throughout Texas.
In addition to the benefits offered by a national organization, the Texas constituent strives to add specific benefits to meet the needs of our members. We have forged groundbreaking programs such as MasterTrack™, Master Study Club and New Dentist Study Club that have served as the national model for other constituents.
We are an organization specifically for general dentists. We provide high quality continuing education courses, legislative monitoring, and study tracks in support of the pursuit of awards.
