The "good Neighbor" Association - Israel

The Good Neighbor Association is an Israeli association based entirely on volunteers and operates for 14 years a variety of projects for society: food distribution to needy families, coffee shops for migratory populations, learning centers and coffee shop for youth at risk. We provide support and help to over 1,000 needy families all over Israel every week. The Association also runs “Learning Centers” for needy families. Each week, university students volunteer to tutor kids in various subjects. Likewise, we operate “Coffee Shops on Wheels” in different areas all over Israel, in places such as residential facilities for disabled individuals, senior citizen homes, a shelter for battered women, etc. During our programs these residences are transformed into coffee shops and the volunteers into sensitive and attentive waiters.
