The genesis of The Benefit Company, a TBX Benefit Partner, dates back to the late ‘60’s with the leadership of Carey Brown. Our company name was rebranded to The Benefit Company (TBC) in 1994. TBC continues to be locally and privately owned by Carey Brown and John Hearn. We believe our private ownership is a meaningful differentiator, especially as it relates to our ability to invest in long-term client relationships. It enables us to serve our clients, based on their multi-year strategy and not on goals set by investors or stockholders. Our Atlanta executive and management team is composed of tenured veterans with extensive experience in all areas of employee benefit planning, along with new entrants to the insurance industry who bring with them innovative thinking and creative concepts.
