The Empowerment Project strives to build stronger communities by improving the lives of those in need.
Philosophy
We help build responsible citizens in communities by increasing access to housing, education and transportation services to people of all ages.
The Empowerment Project is a 501(c)(3) private operating foundation that was founded in 2013 with an initial gift of $2.5 million dollars and a vision based off the simple premise of providing individuals facing unique and transitory crises a “hand up” and not a “hand out".
The Empowerment Project is an innovator in the world of non-profits and foundations in the sense that we utilize relationships, resources and market based concepts in various fields to aid other non-profits in fulfilling their missions.
The foundation will invest in housing, youth development, mental health, education and transportation opportunities, which all have been identified as leading barriers to income stability nationwide.
