Ipswich Hospital is an NHS acute hospital in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK
Our services include accident and emergency; critical care; planned medical and surgical care; consultant and midwifery led maternity, and neonatal and paediatric care; diagnostic and therapy services; and community hospitals and specialist community services.
We also provide a range of specialised services including spinal surgery, radiotherapy, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and gynaecological cancer surgery.
The hospital has 552 beds in general acute, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services and had an annual turnover of £266 million in 2015/16.
Across our 46-acre site, we employ just over 3,400 whole time equivalent NHS staff.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include:
• A £5million life-saving cardiac centre for planned coronary angioplasty (opened 2013)
• A £4.7million new centre for cancer services, including chemotherapy and haematology day services (opened 2016)
• A £2.5million drugs centre to make chemothe
