Inspired by the desperate needs of kids living on the streets in Portland, Transitional Youth was founded in 1991 by Bert E. Waugh, Jr., President of Prudential Northwest Properties. This non-profit organization was created to bring meaningful assistance to local homeless youth.
Transitional Youth’s vision is to provide at-risk and homeless youth the opportunity and skills to achieve independent living.
Currently operating the Outreach Center in downtown Portland and two residential facilities in southwest Washington: Junction House and Home on the Range.
