Transworld is a joint venture of Orascom Telecom, Orastar Limited and Omzest Group and was setup in the wake of the deregulation of the Pakistani Telecom sector with a mandate to operate the first privately owned submarine fiber optic cable system between Karachi - Pakistan, Muscat - Oman and Fujairah - UAE.
The system spans 1,274 Kms and is one of the major internet routes for Pakistan. TW1, as the system is called, commenced operations in 2006 and has quickly become the favoured choice of every major bandwidth user in Pakistan and remains the most vital artery for voice and data communication into and out of the country.
TW1 provides end-to-end direct broadband, high-speed connectivity to our growing list of customers which includes telecom operators, internet service providers and major corporations in Pakistan.
