Established in 1949 by a small group of students passionate about ballroom dance, the UBC Dance Club has since grown to become one of the largest and most established clubs at the University of British Columbia as well as the oldest dancesport body in British Columbia. Today, there is still a heavy emphasis on learning and excelling at ballroom dance; many of the top dancers in BC started their careers in our Club. However, we are also committed to building community on campus as we believe a strong community is invaluable to the university experience. We bring together over 350 students from all years and faculties to facilitate relationships across UBC.
