United Way of Southwest Virginia works to create a thriving community where adults and children have access to excellent schools, good health, safe neighborhoods and jobs that pay a livable wage.
Focusing on the critical areas of education, income and health, United Way of Southwest Virginia serves thirteen counties and two cities, including Bland, Buchanan, Carroll, Dickenson, Giles, Grayson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington and Wise Counties, and the Cities of Galax and Norton.
We believe every community in Southwest Virginia should be healthy and strong, and we’re not alone. Hundreds of volunteers and thousands donors across the region are with us. Together, we raise more than $1.4 million every year to create community solutions that improve life for everyone. Together, we impact the lives of up to 36,000 people every year.
