Nowadays, Public Universities in México have no space to admit the humongous amount of prospective students in their classrooms. The lack of coverage for Higher Education is becoming a social time bomb. Only in 2013, The National Autonomous University of México rejected more than 115 000 students. Thus, many of them marched in the streets of México City due the lack of opportunities. Querétaro is not the exception. Many students face the same critical situation when they finish high school, which is that they are not admitted in the public University of the State.
Universidad Virtual de Querétaro is intended to reduce the lack of Higher Education coverage across the State of Querétaro, which is 30% currently, by implementing innovative Education Technology Models, as well as Information Technology and Communication tools to provide online courses, diplomas, certificates and Majors to the rejected students of Querétaro.
