L’Università di Siena è stata uno dei precursori nello sperimentare attività di orientamento al lavoro, istituendo nel 2002 il Placement Office - Career Service che rappresenta l’interfaccia tra i giovani laureati e le aziende e favorisce l’incontro tra studenti/neolaureati e il mondo del lavoro.
L'ufficio segue le procedure relative all’inserimento di studenti/laureati in imprese, enti pubblici e privati, in Italia e all’estero; è impegnato nella gestione di più di 2000 tirocini all’anno tra curriculari ed extra-curriculari relativi a tutti i corsi di studio dell'Ateneo senese.
Il PO-CS svolge servizi di orientamento al lavoro e career counsseling, attraverso colloqui individuali, bilancio delle competenze, consulenza CV e lettera di presentazione seminari in aula e on-line per affrontare al meglio il colloquio di selezione.
