Since June 16 1992., when The Bank was founded based on the solution of National Bank of Yugoslavia. The Bank has gone through the challenges of time and today, became one strong and respectable partner in the financial market in Serbia.
Bank started to operate under the name MB ASI banka DD to June 30 1995, in accordance with changes in legislation and regulation, reregistrated as ASI banka AD with 190 shareholders. Under the current name, Univerzal Banka AD Belgrade, has been operating since June 1 1997.

Permission for the balance of payments and credit operations with foreign countries (so-called “Great permission”) was obtained on May 16 1995. Since January 2003.
