Het Voedingscentrum is de autoriteit die aan consumenten wetenschappelijk onderbouwde en onafhankelijke informatie geeft over een gezonde, veilige en meer duurzame voedselkeuze. Dat gebeurt onder andere via professionals.
Het Voedingscentrum bevordert gezonde en meer duurzame voeding bij consumenten en stimuleert het bedrijfsleven tot een meer verantwoord voedselaanbod. Uitgangspunt daarbij is om ‘de gezonde keuze de gemakkelijke keuze’ te laten zijn.
Wij zoeken de samenwerking met lokale professionals en andere relevante partijen en treden op als verbindende factor. Daarbij proberen wij professionals zoals diëtisten, medewerkers van GGD-en en consultatiebureaus bij hun werkzaamheden te versterken en ondersteunen met effectieve instrumenten.
