In 1924, Watkins Insurance Agency was founded by Stephen E. Watkins. In 1962, his son Stephen E. Watkins, Jr. took over the agency. Under his ownership the agency has continued to grow serving both Virginia and North Carolina clients. Today, the Watkins tradition continues with his daughter Catherine Watkins Olmert as the President.
