Wild Forests and Fauna (WFF) is a 501(c)3 US-based non-profit organization that is active in Peru, Uganda and USA. Founded in 2012, Wild Forests and Fauna (WFF) protects and restores threatened forests through community-based projects. WFF’s approach is to support local leaders and build conservation capacity in frontier forest regions.
Projects
The ARCAmazon Project is a multifaceted collaborative project with our partners in Peru (ARCAmazon) designed to manage and restore a 4,500-hectare tract of endangered rainforest on Peru’s Las Piedras River. The property on the Piedras River aims to serve as a local-to-global headquarters for ARCAmazon’s operations and as a center of tropical forest science, community building, and education.
The Native Seeds Project is a cultural and ecological restoration project working with local healers and native plant species in Gulu, Uganda.
