Leading the way in animal protection travel, Way Out Experiences Ltd is a responsible tourism company and ABTA member (Y2121) owned by Afzaal Mauthoor. It was incorporated in the UK in October 2003 and in Malaysia in 2005 (Way Out Experiences (M) Sdn Bhd).
Trading as The Great Projects, its runs the multi award winning Great Orangutan Project. The Great Projects aims to connect people with wildlife and nature in ways in which environmental, social and economic benefits are created. Thanks to our extensive experience in conservation, our volunteer tourism offer, and our close co-operation with local partners, we are able to create win-win solutions by:
• providing participants of volunteer programmes with meaningful conservation experiences which can further their personal and career development;
• raising awareness of problems faced by endangered species and of other environmental and social issues;
• generating vital funds for conservation projects thanks to volunteer and travelers contributions;
