YCIS Silicon Valley is a non-profit, co-educational dual language school serving 240 students in preschool through middle school. YCIS Silicon Valley strives to bring East and West together through its academic program and school community life based on the shared educational philosophy and objectives of all YCIS schools. YCIS Silicon Valley’s preschool program is fully bilingual with Mandarin and English-speaking co-teachers collaborating to support children’s interest through an inquiry-based emergent curriculum. The K-8 program provides a standards-based, well-rounded curriculum with core academic subjects taught in English, an intensive Chinese Studies program, a Violin program beginning in Kindergarten, a bilingual co-teaching approach to character education, and other co-curricular programs such as art and physical education.
