The value of empowering individuals to live as active and contributing members of their community is at the very heart of HOPE. And there’s no doubt—living a life as independently as possible, and having a place to call home, changes people’s lives.
HOPE partners with Regional Centers to offer a variety of housing programs. Regional Centers are private, nonprofit corporations that contract with the State Department of Developmental Services to provide or coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities which include autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and epilepsy.
Since 1995 HOPE’s programs have been allowing people with developmental disabilities to live a life they may have only dreamed about. In either affordable housing, state-licensed group homes, or in a college dorm setting, HOPE’s tenants are making their dreams come true.
