▪ I have developed a strong interest in electric motoring. I soon researched and built a Lotus Elise EV (www.evalbum.com/1454) which has been in daily use since 2009. In 2011 I decided to really push the boat out and built a Vortex GTEV (www.vortex-auto.com) which is a kit type car body but with 100 x 100Ah cells and the same 1995 Siemens 6SV inverter and Ford/Siemens motor circa 2000 which was originally for the US Ford Ranger EV as used in the Elise. That car has been on the road since November 2012 although the Elise is the fun car!
